Developers tend to be either struggling with the manual management of .env files, or wrestling with an overly complex secrets manager that's not built for software development. Doppler is changing that by making app configuration and secrets management easy, intuitive, and scalable. It's the SecretOps platform built by developers for developers.

About the Role
As a Sales Engineer, you will be partnering with our customer-facing team to create the best possible experience for our new Enterprise customers, both during demos and during the POC. You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering, and have the opportunity to interface with every team and meet all of our awesome Dopplerites!
About the Team
You’ll be a key part of our customer-facing team. We’re a team that genuinely understands and cares about our user experience. We collaborate with as little ego as humanly possible and are constantly pushing to improve how we provide value to our customers and drive revenue for the business. We collaborate with just about every team in the company, from Product and Engineering to Growth and Marketing to Support and Customer Success. This is a great role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, moves fast, and enjoys building new processes from scratch and continuously improving.
What you’ll do:
Attain a fundamental understanding of Doppler’s product and value and be able to convey that value to potential customers interested in learning more about us
Demo the product, answer questions, and help prospects understand their secrets management pain points and how Doppler could mitigate those pains
Dive into technical conversations to identify gaps, uncover blockers/objections, and guide customers through what they need to confidently adopt Doppler
Use your depth of product knowledge to guide the customer on where and how they should integrate Doppler into their software stack
Work closely with the engineering/solutions teams to address complex customer use cases
Serve as the primary, ongoing technical point of contact for our users during the evaluation process
Manage POCs end-to-end with an organized structure (scoping docs, success criteria, tracking) and hold weekly check-ins with customers to drive progress and ensure alignment
Continuously look for ways to build trust and help push deals over the finish line
What you bring to the table
5+ years in sales/solutions engineering
Experience in security-focused or developer tooling environments is a strong plus
Builder with go-above-and-beyond mentality - you take ownership, solve problems creatively, and do what it takes to earn customer love and win the business
Currently in a customer-facing role
An enthusiastic, strong, technical generalist
Strong consistent work ethic, and attention to detail
Adaptability and eagerness to embrace feedback
Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce is a bonus!)
Ability to build great relationships with prospects; doing so in a fast-moving environment
Strong technical aptitude and the desire to become even more fluent in the product
Experience with cloud platforms, technologies, and patterns - AWS/GCP/Azure, docker/k8s, CI/CD, API’s, and command line tools (CLI)
Eagerness to engage with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to shape our brand and our product
Ability to think on your feet, and solve problems during calls with technical customers
Genuine curiosity!
Salary: $220 - 240k OTE
