The opportunity as an BDR:

Join Docsumo as a Business Development Representative (BDR) and help revolutionize document processing with our cutting-edge Document AI solutions. As a strategic hunter, you'll identify and engage businesses that need our services but haven’t yet discovered us.

In this outbound-focused role, you’ll build market presence, connect with decision-makers, and expand our footprint in the document processing space. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you'll collaborate with sales and marketing teams to execute strategic campaigns and convert cold prospects into warm opportunities.

We're looking for a self-starter who can turn cold prospects into warm opportunities through persistence, creativity, and a deep understanding of our value proposition. You'll have the autonomy to develop your own prospecting strategies while receiving support and guidance from experienced sales leaders.

This position offers more than just a traditional BDR role – it's an opportunity to be at the forefront of tech sales while developing expertise in one of the fastest-growing sectors of AI. Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and target potential customers through research and outreach.
  • Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies, including cold calls, emails, and social media engagement.
  • Serve as the first in-depth point of contact to prospective partners and customers
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to align outreach strategies with company goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of prospect interactions in CRM.
  • Meet or exceed outbound activity and lead generation targets.
  • Should be able to work USA East Coast timings - 5 PM to 2 AM (IST)
  • Need to have:

  • Must have 2-4 years of industry experience into selling IT/SaaS products and concepts
  • Should have prior experience working with "C" & "D" level executives
  • Exceptional cold-calling and outreach skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication & sensitive of US culture
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and prospecting platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.).
  • A results-oriented mindset with the ability to handle rejection constructively.
  • Excited to sell brand-new technology products
