About the Team

Edelman has the biggest crisis communication bench globally. Our team in London is thelargestoutside of theUS,andbrings together crisis specialiststowork acrossmany of the company’shighest profileclients.

Weprotectreputations and mitigate the impact of issues and crises onmulti-national brands, every day. We offer clientsanalysisand mitigationsagainstrisks,anddeliverreal timeadvisory forsenior leaders during times of crisis.Aways data-led and withTrustembeded,in our recommendations,wesupportcompanies and brandsmaking decisionson how to move beyond issuesin the full glare of the public spotlight.

The team is made up of seven consultants, including the EMEA and Global Heads of Crisis.We have deep industryexpertiseandsubject matterspecialistswho can provideadvice ondigitalrisks,countering disinformation, litigationand legal affairs, sports partnerships,andsocial and geopoliticalissues. Wealsowork closelyour colleagues in the Corporate, Government Affairs, Workplace Advisory andData&Analyticsteams to ensure we are always givingcounseltaking into accountall stakeholders.

As the global and regional centre of crisis at Edelman, we take pride in delivering exceptional, impactfulwork for our clients but, at our core, we are a non-hierarchical team who like to spend time together in and out of the office.  We are relentlesslycollaborative, andsupported by leadership who champion and celebrate our collective achievements.

The role

We are looking for an ambitious,proactiveand motivated individual with solidissues managementand communicationsexperience.

They should beconfident withday-to-dayclient management,offering considered counselto complex issuesin real time,andproactive in offering solutions.Working across multiple client teams, theywill take the lead inshaping and producingdeliverablesfor many of our major retained clients, ensuring theyoffer real impact totheir needs. The Account Manager role requires a candidate with excellent writing and media handling skills.Ability to managea multi-clientworkload is vital.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the daily client contact,earning theirtrust to deliver day to day work as well as providing proactive counsel onnew approachesor ideas
  • Analysing data inputs to deliver keyinsights, andassess geopolitical and societal pressures to give their work real-world resilience.
  • Playing a key role in the research, planning and development of campaigns and driving these forward
  • Producing contentto meet client needs, these could include issue analysis and stakeholder Q&A packs, scenario training plans, risk assessments
  • Providing support on new business pitches – research, slide development, driving forward process including work back plans and managing junior teams’ input
