Distribution Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead design and analysis of 4–69 kV distribution systems with specs and estimates.
• Act as Engineer of Record; stamp and approve designs per licensure laws.
• QA/QC of team designs to meet standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform load flow, fault analysis, voltage drop, and coordination studies.
• Ensure designs meet IEEE, NEC, NESC, NERC and local utility standards.
• Manage multiple complex projects with scope, schedule, and budget; coordinate with clients and teams.

🎯 Requirements

• ABET-accredited B.S. in electrical engineering.
• Active PE license or reciprocity within defined timeframe.
• 9–12 years in distribution engineering and design, incl. PM and stamping.
• Proficient with GIS, AutoCAD, TED, Pole Loading Analysis, and engineering tools.
• Experience managing multi-projects with cross-functional teams and clients/contractors.
• Knowledge of ethics, licensure requirements, and responsible charge.
• Ability to stamp engineering documents for distribution projects.
• Strong PM, planning, budgeting, risk management, and reporting.
