Director, Technical Revenue Accounting

📋 Description

• Own and evolve ASC 606 revenue policies for SaaS and usage-based models.
• Lead technical accounting research and author memos, policies, and playbooks.
• Review complex enterprise contracts, advising Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal.
• Define revenue recognition for new products incl performance obligations and SSP.
• Translate complex accounting guidance into practical, scalable processes for cross-functional partners.
• Partner with auditors to support revenue positions, ensuring SOX controls.

🎯 Requirements

• CPA certification with 12+ years in ASC 606 technical revenue accounting.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and SaaS revenue models incl SSP and variable consideration.
• Proven ability to evaluate complex contracts and determine revenue treatment.
• Track record of influencing and defending accounting positions with auditors.
• Translating complex accounting concepts into clear guidance for non-accounting audiences.
• Public accounting background plus in-house SaaS/tech experience (bonus).
