Director, Technical Accounting – M&A and Investments

📋 Description

• Serve as principal technical accounting authority for M&A and investments.
• Lead due diligence, assess structuring options, and GAAP implications.
• Own end-to-end purchase accounting: identify acquirer, date, and goodwill.
• Direct consolidation analysis for investees and VIEs.
• Oversee investment portfolio accounting and impairment reviews.
• Build and lead the M&A/Investments accounting team and controls.

🎯 Requirements

• Have 15+ years in accounting; 6+ years leading M&A/investment teams.
• Hold an active CPA license.
• Big 4 + in-house tech company experience.
• Led technical accounting for multiple acquisitions and investments.
• Deep US GAAP knowledge: BCA, consolidation, and fair value.
• Able to direct third-party valuation on PPA and impairment.
