Director, Product Cost

📋 Description

• Lead the product cost architecture and forecasting for Kairos Power.
• Develop parameterized cost models for salt, fuel, reactor hardware, construction, and shared infrastructure.
• Define cost estimation methodologies, inputs, and governance aligned with investor-facing models.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Finance, FP&A, Cost Accounting, and Strategy to forecast and manage costs.
• Onsite role in Alameda, CA or Albuquerque, NM.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics, or related field.
• 10+ years in cost forecasting/cost engineering/manufacturing finance, including 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience at a manufacturer or hardware developer within the past 5 years.
• Proven track record building cost forecasting systems for complex engineered products.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle and advanced Excel modeling.
• Proficiency with data analysis/visualization tools (Python, Power BI, Tableau).
