Director of Non-Functional Testing

📋 Description

• Develop and implement non-functional testing strategy (perf, scalability, security, reliability, compliance).
• Lead chaos engineering programme; design/execute experiments to identify weaknesses.
• Establish standards/frameworks for non-functional testing and chaos engineering.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security and product to embed NFRs in SDLC.
• Oversee tool selection and deployment for performance, load, and chaos testing.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance for non-functional systems; mentor and lead specialists.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in non-functional testing domains (perf, reliability, scalability, security).
• Expertise in chaos engineering principles/tools (Gremlin, Chaos Monkey, LitmusChaos).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Deep understanding of microservices, cloud-native platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory/compliance requirements relevant to technology resilience and data protection.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Certifications in testing, cloud, security, or DevOps desirable; minimum 10 years in software testing/engineering, with at least 3 in leadership.
