Director of Managed Care Contracting

📋 Description

• Analyze payer contracts to support negotiations.
• Draft, redline, and negotiate managed care agreements.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle: execution, amendments, renewals, terminations.
• Liaise between payers and internal departments for clear communication.
• Resolve payer issues; coordinate with revenue cycle on payments.
• Represent Akido in JOC meetings with payers.
• Provide written updates to management on contract terms.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
• 5+ years in managed care contracting; CA experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of delegated models, capitation, and prepaid.
• Familiar with DMHC and Knox-Keene Act.
• Ability to analyze and summarize health contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills; manage multiple contracts.
• Proficient in contract management systems and MS Office.
