Director of Information Security

📋 Description

• Lead information security; deliver security engineering and operations.
• Translate regulatory/privacy/risk needs into auditable controls with Architecture.
• Own security operations: detection, response, escalation, incidents.
• Establish SOPs, metrics, automation to scale security operations.
• Own AI security posture: guardrails for access, data handling, monitoring.
• Directly manage security managers and senior ICs; partner with the CISO on hiring.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in information security; 5+ years managing managers and senior ICs.
• Experience hiring, developing, and holding security teams accountable.
• Leadership during high-impact security incidents and crises.
• Experience partnering with managed security service providers.
• Strong prioritization and execution in complex, high-growth settings.
• Experience designing/scaling security programs with metrics and automation.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, PCI and AI-related compliance.
• Background in high-growth tech organizations; security certs a plus.
