Director of Hardware

📋 Description

• Own the vehicle platform end-to-end across mechanical, electrical, EM, and sensor.
• Set and own multi-year hardware roadmap and architecture direction.
• Own integration points between subsystems: mounts, enclosures, wiring.
• Drive design-for-manufacturing rigor for volume production.
• Manage hardware team across disciplines; hire, cadence, and deliver.
• Stay technical; participate in design reviews and debug hard problems.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years hands-on hardware engineering on shipped products.
• Deep mechanical and electrical engineering; lead cross-discipline design.
• Direct management of hardware/robotics teams across disciplines.
• Experience running hardware cadence: planning, reviews, performance.
• From architecture to DFM, supplier qualification, pilot to volume.
• Direct experience with electromechanical actuation systems and PCB work.
