Director of Engineering, Product Platforms

📋 Description

• Lead platform teams to turn Aerospike Cloud into a product platform.
• Build platforms enabling cloud products (control/data planes, billing, telemetry, UIs).
• Communicate progress on the long-term technology roadmap with stakeholders and SREs.
• Convert business requirements into actionable engineering plans and tasks.
• Steward quality and reliability of services on the platform and others’ services.
• Attract, mentor and retain top engineering talent at Aerospike.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years building distributed, multitenant, auto-scaling backends.
• 5+ years in technical leadership managing high-performing teams.
• Strong technical leadership and mentorship for backend/frontend engineers.
• Proven delivery of high-quality, scalable, reliable systems.
• Experience recruiting and developing engineers across multiple teams.
• Proficient at aligning technical roadmap with product management.
