📋 Description

• Lead teams building Zapier's core services, platforms, and infra.
• Shape platform engineering as a strategic priority with vision and governance.
• Build processes and systems your teams need, partner with VP Eng and Platform PMs.
• This is a formative build role; shape direction, not inherit a finished state.
• Enable product teams to move faster with scalable infra and tooling.
• Be a builder focused on developer outcomes, not just operations.

🎯 Requirements

• Led internal infrastructure platforms (cloud, database, event infra).
• Built platform engineering orgs focused on developer velocity and KTLO tradeoffs.
• Hands-on with AI systems/tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) and AI tooling.
• Builder mindset; led 0-to-1 changes and organizational transformation.
• Customer-oriented; partnered with internal developers to shape roadmaps.
• Strong communicator and mentor; capable of leading managers and ICs across remote teams.
