Director, Government Affairs

📋 Description

• Lead California regulatory affairs; build relationships with regulators and officials.
• Manage lobbyists and consultants; coordinate stakeholder engagement in CA.
• Lead advocacy for timely PACE approvals and regulatory issue resolution.
• Track and communicate government policy changes impacting WelbeHealth PACE.
• Represent WelbeHealth in state PACE associations and committees.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; hire, train, and mentor staff.

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in California and travel to WelbeHealth Markets/government buildings.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred; valid driver’s license; vehicle insurance.
• Minimum 7 years engaging with CA regulators or elected officials.
• Minimum 7 years in healthcare, eldercare or human services policy.
• 3-5 years handling legislative bills, budgets, and policy or budget efforts.
• Strong public policy writing experience; health or human services experience preferred.
