- Provide pragmatic day-to-day advice on U.S. employment laws to People Experience and leaders.
- Supervise Mexico Employment Counsel and oversee litigation management.
- Advise on new employment laws, regulations, and policy changes.
- Manage U.S. inbound immigration and global mobility; supervise outside counsel.
- Coordinate with outside counsel on employment law projects and litigation.
- Handle pre-litigation negotiations, dispute resolution, and agency charges.
- Participate in decision-making with internal clients and leaders.
- Draft or advise on employee documents (offers, agreements, retention).
- Partner with People Experience to manage employee relations and investigations.
๐ฏ Requirements
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active state bar membership in the state where candidate works.
- 8+ years in-house and law firm experience in employment law.
- Experience advising on Mexico and India labor matters and managing Mexico labor claims.
- Solid experience advising on inbound immigration and global mobility matters.
- Solid experience collaborating with outside counsel in U.S. employment litigation and arbitration.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; distill legal concepts for HR.
- Adept at thriving in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve results.
- Preferred: experience with technology/fintech companies.
- Preferred: experience with a U.S. multinational and/or publicly traded company.
