📋 Description

  • Own and drive the end-to-end NYC food safety strategy aligned with growth.
  • Serve as on-site executive food safety leader for regulatory compliance and audits.
  • Lead FDA, USDA and local agency interactions, audits, and certifications.
  • Design scalable food safety systems for high-volume, ready-to-eat production.
  • Establish KPIs and risk indicators, using data to drive improvement.
  • Build and scale a high-performing food safety team and mentor leaders.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology or related; advanced degree preferred
  • HACCP, PCQI, and or Certified Food Safety Manager credentials required
  • 10+ years in food safety quality or regulatory leadership in ready-to-eat/high-compliance environments
  • Proven track record scaling food safety programs at site or multi-site in high-growth ops
  • Deep expertise in FDA, USDA and local regulatory frameworks and preventive controls
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and cross-functional alignment
