Director, Build Reliability Engineering

📋 Description

• Define overarching reliability vision and strategy, aligning build-quality objectives with product roadmaps.
• Design organizational structure, talent pipeline, and succession strategy for Build Reliability as the company scales.
• Manage complex failure analysis (Fault Tree) and CAPA to prevent recurrence and guide corrective actions.
• Oversee qualification testing, including ALT and environmental stress screening, to validate lifespan targets.
• Integrate FMEA and predictive modeling early in design to identify risks.
• Partner with NPI, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve reliability issues and influence supplier quality.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in Supplier Industrialization, Development, or Manufacturing Engineering, preferably aerospace.
• 5+ years of direct people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and quality tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans).
• Experience with PLM, ERP, MES and data-driven decision making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the work week.
