Director, API Platform Product Management

📋 Description

• Define vision and roadmap for Hiive's external API platform.
• Own end-to-end API lifecycle: design, docs, versioning, governance.
• Set API design standards with engineering for DX and security.
• Lead partner integrations with financial infrastructure providers.
• Translate fund structures and compliance needs into API contracts.
• Build bidirectional integration patterns for data exchange with partners.

🎯 Requirements

• 8–12 years in product management or related engineering, with 3+ years on API platforms.
• Hands-on experience designing and shipping APIs at an API-first or platform-oriented company.
• Deep technical fluency: read API specs, discuss architecture, write clear requirements.
• Track record of shipping integrations that drive partner adoption, revenue, retention.
• Strong communication across engineering, business, compliance, and partners.
• Preferred: experience in private markets, wealth management, fund administration, or cap table management.
