Director, Accounting

📋 Description

• Lead monthly close: timelines, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets.
• Maintain policies, controls, COA governance, and docs for scalable reporting.
• Oversee AP, procurement, vendor payments, cash management, reconciliations, treasury.
• Manage bank access, fraud prevention, and accounting controls for governance and compliance.
• Partner with Finance leadership to improve cash visibility, working capital, and accounting ops.
• Lead external audits; oversee tax and sales/use tax; develop the accounting team.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in accounting; ownership of month-end close, audit, tax, treasury, controls, and ops.
• GAAP, accrual accounting, balance sheet management, AP, cash mgmt, and financial reporting.
• Experience leading accounting ops in a fast-paced, scaling organization.
• ERP systems and finance automation; Sage Intacct preferred.
• Leading audits; managing relationships with external tax and accounting advisors.
• Sales and use tax, state filings, nexus, and compliance workflows.
