Job Overview
Dialpad is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to empower the sales team with technical expertise in our cloud communications solutions. This role partners with Account Executives to drive deals, deliver compelling demonstrations, scope customer requirements, and design tailored solutions for enterprise customers.
What you'll do
- Partner with Account Executives to understand customer challenges and map them to Dialpad capabilities
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations and technical presentations
- Develop tailored Proofs of Concept (POCs) and ROI analyses
- Respond to RFPs, craft technical proposals, and align solutions with the customer buying journey
- Gather and document customer requirements for product and engineering teams
- Facilitate technical validation and seamless handoff to delivery
- Maintain deep knowledge of Dialpad APIs, integrations, and the competitive landscape
- Travel to customer sites as needed and collaborate with cross-functional teams
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in sales engineering or pre-sales, ideally in cloud communications, UC, or VoIP
- Strong expertise in VoIP, SIP, WebRTC, APIs; experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and integration patterns
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
