Development Test Engineer, Structures (Starship)

📋 Description

• Develop and execute static/dynamic system-level structural tests from concept.
• Configure test articles and test stands; define boundary conditions and ops.
• Design, modify, and build mechanical systems from small lugs to large weldments.
• Design, modify, and troubleshoot fluid systems (gas, cryogenic propellants, hydraulics).
• Design, modify, build, and troubleshoot DAQ and control systems; NI-based instruments.
• Operate test stands with a small team through test execution.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical engineering, or related.
• 1+ years of experience in testing, mechanical/data acquisition, and control-system design.
• Strong skills in mechanical/structural design, data acquisition, programming, and hydraulics.
• Ability to learn new skills and adapt under pressure.
• Experience owning projects under technical and schedule pressure with limited scope.
• Experience testing/operating hazardous systems (high pressure/energy, hazardous gases).
