Design Criteria Engineer (Starshield)

📋 Description

• Develop and own design criteria, requirements, and verification for new satellites.
• Perform critical peer reviews of hardware designs and test campaigns; approve launch readiness.
• Guide engineers through SpaceX design process; ensure criteria/requirements are followed.
• Proactively identify development risks; implement and track mitigation plans.
• Develop long-term strategy to enable satellite/infrastructure changes; provide daily engineering support.
• Review analysis and test validation across electrical, mechanical, RF disciplines.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of engineering experience (professional, project team, internship, or extracurricular).
• Electrical or mechanical system design, analysis, testing, and fabrication for safety-critical/high-volume applications.
• Scripting and data analysis using Visual Basic, SQL, Matlab, Python, or Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
