- Serve as primary regulatory contact for Middle East/CIS incl UAE VARA.
- Lead regulatory engagements: licensing, notifications, RFIs, supervision.
- Advise on regulatory implications of new crypto products (trading, derivatives, stablecoins).
- Monitor regulatory developments and translate changes into actionable guidance.
- Partner with external counsel to manage regulatory matters and cost-efficient advice.
- Handle regulatory correspondence and enforcement; manage relationships with authorities.
🎯 Requirements
- Must hold a law degree and be eligible to practice as an advocate.
- 12+ years experience at top-tier law firm and/or in-house in financial services or crypto.
- Experience advising on cryptocurrency and blockchain issues or strong regulatory knowledge.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Ability to advise and build trust with business teams and cross-jurisdictional teams.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
