Head of Strategy & Initiatives Middle East

The Finance and Strategy team's core mission is to shape Deliveroo’s strategy across the Middle East and help the business execute and optimise our strategic plans.. We aim to build long-term company value, and we achieve this by setting company strategy, facilitating world-class execution, understanding and sharing the drivers of our business, delivering accurate financial results, all while managing risks and keeping an eye out for opportunities. What you'll do

You'll be solving some of the most challenging and exciting strategic questions we have to answer, in a fast growing company.

Your responsibilities will include:

The Head of Strategy & Initiatives will be part of the Middle East Finance & Strategy team and will report directly to the Middle East Finance & Strategy Director.

• Strategic Vision and Implementation: Collaborate in formulating the long-term vision and strategic direction for the Middle East. Act as an internal strategy consultant to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives.

• Performance Analysis and Improvement: Partner with the Middle East General Manager and leadership team to analyse performance drivers and identify opportunities for business growth and continuous improvement.

• Business Performance Review: Co-lead the weekly, monthly, and quarterly business performance reviews, focusing on market and market share performance, and track achievements against targets.

• Strategic Initiative Oversight: Manage the leadership team Strategic Initiative Review, ensuring effective execution of strategic initiatives.

• Project Leadership: Lead critical cross-functional projects across the Middle East, coordinating with both country-specific and central teams.

• Strategic Thinking and Planning: Demonstrated ability to think structurally, identify opportunities and trends, prioritise effectively, and develop plans to achieve strategic visions and outcomes.

• Innovative Mindset: Open-minded, extremely driven and willing to challenge the status quo. Must possess a winning attitude and continuously strive for improvements.

• Value Creation and Decision-Making: Proven ability to create value and lead decision-making processes in fast-paced environments.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to solve unstructured problems using data and analysis

• Leadership without authority: Capable of leading without direct authority, fostering collaboration and motivation through influence

• Executive Partnership: Successful track record of operating, partnering with, and influencing C-level partners.

• Change Management: A builder with experience in developing approaches, tools, and structured change methodologies.

• Global and Matrix Organisation Experience: Understanding of working within a global, matrixed organisation.

• Project Management: Strong project management skills.

• 10+ years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting, finance, banking. Relevant experience in a high growth environment

• Fluent English (written and spoken)
