Software Engineer - Web Browser SDK

Role Summary

Datadog is seeking a Software Engineer to work on the Web Browser SDK as part of the Frontend Engineering team. This full-time role is based in France and involves building and maintaining the browser instrumentation SDK used by customers to monitor their web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the Datadog Web Browser SDK integrations.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver robust instrumentation.
• Improve performance, reliability, and developer experience.
• Review code, write tests, and contribute to documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of frontend development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with browser APIs, performance optimization, and instrumentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and build tools.

What You'll Need

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Location

Multiple locations in France: Bordeaux, Lyon, Montpellier, Nantes, Paris, Sophia Antipolis. This is an on-site role.
