Senior Director, Web Experience

Overview

Datadog is seeking a Senior Director of Web Experience to lead the Web Experience team, shaping the future of Datadog's web platform and customer-facing interfaces. This executive-level role drives strategy, product direction, and delivery for high-traffic web experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product and technology strategy for the web experience that powers Datadog's customer-facing sites and portals.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (engineering, design, product, data, content) to deliver robust, scalable web platforms with exceptional performance and accessibility.
• Own the roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and align with business goals; partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Growth, and Platform teams.
• Make architecture and technology decisions, including frontend frameworks and performance optimization, security, accessibility, and reliability.
• Manage budgets, headcount, and vendor relationships; ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Foster a culture of experimentation, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software development, product leadership, or equivalent, with a track record of delivering large-scale web platforms.
• Demonstrated leadership experience at the Director level or higher; strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Deep expertise in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and in achieving high performance, accessibility, and user-centric design.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD, monitoring, and security best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
