Job Opportunity: Manager I, Engineering - Analytics Data Platform, Governance at Datadog

Datadog is seeking a Manager I, Engineering - Analytics Data Platform, Governance to lead and scale the analytics data platform governance initiatives within the Engineering organization. This role is based in Paris, France and reports to senior engineering leadership. The candidate will drive data governance, data quality, metadata management, and access controls across Datadog’s analytics stack.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on analytics data platform governance and related data initiatives
• Define and drive the data governance strategy, including data quality, lineage, metadata management, and access controls
• Collaborate with product, data science, security, and platform teams to align roadmaps and deliver scalable data solutions
• Own the delivery of programs that improve data reliability, security, and compliance across the data platform
• Recruit, coach, and develop engineering talent; manage performance and career growth
• Communicate progress, risks, and impact to stakeholders and leadership

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in engineering, preferably within a data platform or analytics context
• Strong background in data governance, data quality, metadata management, and data lineage
• Experience with large-scale distributed data systems and data architecture concepts
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
