Overview
Datadog is seeking a Field CTO for Media & Entertainment to lead technical strategy and engage with enterprise customers in North America. This role combines deep technical leadership with hands-on field engagement to ensure customers maximize the value of Datadog's observability platform within media and entertainment workflows.
Responsibilities
- Act as a field-based technical leader, advising top media & entertainment customers on architecture, deployment, and adoption of Datadog.
- Define reference architectures and best practices for streaming pipelines, OTT/CTV workflows, content delivery, metadata, and real-time analytics using Datadog.
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to tailor solutions, demonstrate ROI, and drive successful deployments at scale.
- Gather customer feedback and influence the product roadmap to meet industry-specific needs.
- Build and nurture relationships with systems integrators, cloud providers, and partner ecosystems.
- Represent Datadog at conferences, executive briefings, and customer engagements with clear, compelling technical storytelling.
Qualifications
- Extensive senior engineering/solutions architecture or field-facing leadership experience, preferably in media, streaming, cloud observability, or related domains.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), distributed systems, observability tooling (metrics, traces, logs, APM), and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with media/entertainment tech, streaming pipelines, CDN/OTT workflows, and data pipelines is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.
