Overview
Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Engineer for the Northeast to join our North America sales engineering team. In this role you will partner with Enterprise sales executives to craft and deliver technical demonstrations, map customer requirements to Datadog's observability platform, and help technical buyers understand the business value of Datadog's solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Enterprise sales teams to understand customer needs and map them to Datadog capabilities.
- Design and deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical assessments for complex enterprise deployments.
- Respond to RFPs and participate in proof-of-concept deployments to validate Datadog in customer environments.
- Articulate the ROI and business value of Datadog solutions to both technical and executive audiences.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer success and expansion opportunities.
- Travel as needed within the Northeast region.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a sales engineer or solutions engineer in enterprise software or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong technical knowledge of observability, monitoring, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers (Kubernetes), and related technologies.
- Familiarity with the Datadog product or similar monitoring/observability platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work remotely in the Northeast market with a strong customer-facing mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
