Overview
Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Engineer to partner with the APAC sales team and enterprise customers from Sydney. This full-time, on-site role combines deep technical understanding of Datadog's observability platform with strategic sales support, helping customers design, demonstrate, and deploy solutions at scale.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and map them to Datadog capabilities.
- Deliver technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept deployments for enterprise customers in APAC.
- Assist in discovery, qualification, and response to technical RFPs.
- Coordinate with Solutions Engineers and Product teams to craft scalable deployment plans.
- Drive technical wins and contribute to the successful adoption of Datadog across large accounts.
Qualifications
- Experience in sales engineering or pre-sales in software/tech industries (5+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container ecosystems (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel within APAC and work on-site in Sydney, Australia.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Solutions).
