Endpoint Security Monitoring Software Engineer

Role overview

Datadog is seeking an Endpoint Security Monitoring Software Engineer to design, implement, and scale security monitoring capabilities for endpoints across enterprise environments. Based in Lisbon, Portugal, you will contribute to the detection, telemetry collection, and response tooling that helps protect customers from advanced threats.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement endpoint telemetry collection and monitoring features.
• Develop threat detection logic and alerting for endpoint events.
• Build robust data pipelines and instrumentation for security signals.
• Collaborate with security researchers and platform engineers to improve protection.
• Review code, write tests, and participate in incident postmortems.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in at least one systems language (Go, Python, C/C++, or Rust).
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and security monitoring or EDR concepts.
• Familiarity with telemetry, logging, networking, and cloud deployments.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Datadog products or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, threat intelligence, or incident response.
