Developer Advocate, Cloud Observability

Job Description

Datadog is seeking a Developer Advocate for Cloud Observability in a full-time, remote-capable role based in North America. You will engage with developer communities, create technical content, present at events, and help scale Datadog’s observability platform across cloud ecosystems.

Role Overview

As a Developer Advocate for Cloud Observability, you will combine technical depth with exceptional communication to educate and empower developers and customers. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to capture feedback, create demos, and contribute to the ecosystem around Datadog’s observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Create technical content (blogs, tutorials, demos, sample projects) that demonstrates how to implement and optimize Datadog Cloud Observability.
• Speak at conferences, meetups, webinars, and user groups to evangelize Datadog’s solutions.
• Develop and maintain demo environments and open-source resources to showcase observability best practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to collect feedback and improve the developer experience.
• Support customers and partners in adopting and scaling observability across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of engaging developer communities.
• Experience in developer relations, technical advocacy, or a similar field.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and observability concepts.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
