Datadog is seeking a Commercial Sales Engineer to join our North America team in New York. This full-time role collaborates with sales to drive technical pre-sales and win new business by showcasing Datadog's cloud monitoring platform.
What you'll do
- Partner with the sales team to deliver compelling technical pre-sales engagements.
- Architect and present Datadog solutions tailored to customer needs, including live demos and proof-of-value.
- Respond to technical questions, RFPs, and security/privacy inquiries.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success to map customer journeys and success metrics.
- Grow knowledge of Datadog products and the competitive landscape to articulate value clearly.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in technical pre-sales or sales engineering, preferably in cloud monitoring or observability.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable speaking with executives and technical audiences.
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern software architectures.
- Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions and ROI demonstrations.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
