The Role:

Applied Flow Technology (AFT), a

Datacor

company and world leader in fluid flow analysis applications,

is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Development group. This role will support the team in designing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated test cases, protocols, and frameworks to provide continuous coverage in every development lifecycle. The candidate should demonstrate experience and skill in process simulation, data analysis, and basic programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute thorough manual and/or automated quality tests before product launches.
  • Identify, report, document, and track bugs and feature requests during software development.
  • Develop scripts to automate engineering calculations, data processing/analysis, and test cases.
  • Use existing and future test frameworks to run test cases; compile results and analyze failures.
  • Build and validate steady-state and dynamic models of chemical and physical processes.
  • Develop and/or utilize tools to import, process, visualize, and analyze raw process data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Proven experience building, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex flowsheet simulations (CHEMCAD or similar software used in the Chemical Process Industry) is highly preferred
  • Proven skill scripting and debugging programs is highly preferred
  • Written and verbal fluency in English
