Strategic Account Executive, State Department – Databricks

Databricks is seeking a Strategic Account Executive for the Federal Government to drive adoption of the Databricks platform within designated government accounts, starting with the State Department. You will manage executive relationships, lead strategic opportunities, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver value in a compliant, security‑minded environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for the State Department.
  • Identify opportunities, qualify deals, and close revenue in alignment with quota.
  • Manage discovery, value proposition, and ROI messaging for federal customers.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Engineers, Security/Compliance, and Partnerships.
  • Navigate federal procurement processes, FAR requirements, and security reviews.
  • Maintain accurate forecast and pipeline management.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of enterprise software or data platform sales experience, with federal government focus.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), government procurement processes, and security/compliance standards.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and executive engagement skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed; comfortable operating in remote/hybrid settings.
