About the role

We are seeking a Strategic Account Executive for the Public Sector to drive strategic growth with government and public sector customers. This on site role is based in Montr9l, Canada and requires building executive level relationships, leading complex deals, and collaborating cross functionally to position Databricks as the platform of choice for public sector outcomes.

What you will do

  • Own a portfolio of strategic public sector accounts; develop and execute account plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain executive relationships with government agencies and contractors; communicate a clear value proposition of Databricks solutions.
  • Lead complex multi stakeholder deals from discovery to closing; collaborate with Solutions Engineers, legal, finance, and product teams to accelerate cycles.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with partners as needed.
  • Develop accurate forecasts and contribute to weekly sales pipeline reviews.
  • Represent Databricks in public sector events, webinars, and customer briefings.

What we look for

  • 7+ years of enterprise software sales or strategic account management in the public sector.
  • Proven track record closing large, strategic deals with government clients; ability to navigate procurement processes and long sales cycles.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills; excellent relationship-building at executive levels.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (preferably Salesforce) and modern sales methodologies such as solution selling and account based selling.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; willingness to travel as needed.
