Databricks is seeking a Staff Product Security Engineer to lead security initiatives across our product portfolio. You will drive secure design, threat modeling, and incident readiness across teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead security design reviews for product features and architectures.
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessment for new features.
- Develop and enforce security standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to implement security controls.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to security reviews during development cycles.
- Lead incident response and post-incident reviews for product security events.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product security engineering or security-focused software development.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, threat modeling, and security testing (SAST/DAST).
- Experience with cloud security, identity and access management, and data protection.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
