About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Product Manager for Runtime to define and drive the product strategy for Databricks Runtime. In this role you will partner with engineering, design, data science, and customers to shape the roadmap, specify capabilities, and deliver high-impact features that improve performance, reliability, and the developer experience. You will own outcomes from discovery through delivery, write clear requirements, prioritize work, and measure success with key product metrics. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role at a leading data and AI platform company.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap and strategy for Databricks Runtime, aligning with company goals and customer needs.
  • Translate customer problems into clear requirements and user stories; prioritize backlog and trade-offs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, data science, and field teams to deliver high-quality features on time.
  • Define metrics, success criteria, and rollout plans; iterate based on usage data and customer feedback.
  • Engage with customers and partners to gather feedback and communicate the value proposition of Databricks Runtime.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience in cloud platforms or data-intensive products (distributed systems) or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of shipping complex products and driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience with Databricks Runtime, Apache Spark, or similar distributed data processing systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
