Sr. Resident Solutions Architect

Role Summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Resident Solutions Architect to join our Asia-Pacific team. This is a client-facing, senior-level role focused on designing and deploying data analytics solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. You will work with customers to understand business requirements, propose scalable architectures, and lead technical engagements from discovery through deployment. You will collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Consulting, and Customer Success to drive adoption and deliver measurable outcomes across cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagements with customers to design and deploy Databricks-based data lakehouse solutions
• Translate business requirements into scalable data architectures using Databricks Lakehouse Platform, Delta Lake, Spark
• Deliver technical workshops, proofs-of-concept, and deployment guidance
• Advise on data governance, security, performance, and cost optimization
• Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to drive adoption
• Contribute to reference architectures, best practices, and reusable patterns
• Travel as required to customer sites across APAC

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solution architecture/consulting experience in data, analytics, or cloud data platforms
• Deep experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, SQL, Python or Scala
• Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
