Role overview
Databricks is seeking a Senior Industry Marketing Manager for Retail & Consumer Goods to lead go-to-market strategy and marketing programs for this vertical. You will collaborate with product, sales, and demand-generation teams to accelerate growth across North America, shaping messaging, ICPs, and campaigns for enterprise buyers in the retail and consumer goods sectors. This position reports to the Senior Marketing leadership and requires strategic thinking, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of launching successful B2B marketing programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for the Retail & Consumer Goods vertical, aligning with product and sales objectives.
- Define messaging, positioning, and content that resonates with enterprise buyers in Retail & CPG.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Demand Generation, and Sales to build demand-generating programs and pipeline.
- Lead cross-functional programs across North America, coordinating with regional marketing teams.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform strategy.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and ROI measurement for marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of B2B marketing experience in Retail or Consumer Goods or related verticals.
- Proven track record in demand generation, pipeline development, and field marketing.
- Strong collaboration with product and sales teams; excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with marketing technology and analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Google Analytics) is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with strong project management and cross-functional leadership abilities.
