Databricks is seeking a Senior Enterprise Security Engineer to join our security team in a remote capacity, based in the United Kingdom or Europe. This role focuses on designing and implementing scalable security controls for cloud platforms, protecting data, and guarding customer workloads.

Role Overview

The Senior Enterprise Security Engineer will own the design, implementation, and operation of security controls across Databricks cloud environments and partner teams. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to build secure-by-default architectures, drive threat modeling, perform risk assessments, and respond to security incidents. You will also own security tooling and automation to improve detection, response, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate security controls across cloud environments
• Lead identity and access management governance and access control mechanisms
• Develop security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response capabilities
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to build secure-by-default architectures
• Perform risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security reviews for new features
• Build security tooling and automation to improve detection and response times
• Create runbooks and documentation to support security operations and compliance

Requirements

• 5+ years of enterprise security engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of cloud security and IAM
• Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEMs, EDRs
• Incident response and forensics experience
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; security certifications are a plus
