Sr. Developer Advocate, Machine Learning

Overview

Databricks is seeking a Senior Developer Advocate focused on Machine Learning to empower developers, data scientists, and ML engineers to build and deploy ML solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. In this role you will create technical content, present at conferences, run developer programs, and collaborate with product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Champion ML features and best practices on the Databricks platform
• Build and deliver technical content: blog posts, tutorials, notebooks, demos, and sample projects
• Represent Databricks at conferences, meetups, and online communities
• Run developer programs, hackathons, and enablement sessions for ML developers
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence ML APIs and tooling
• Gather user feedback, document requirements, and help shape roadmap
• Mentor junior developers advocates and contribute to GTM materials
• Develop end-to-end ML workflows and demos using Databricks notebooks

Qualifications

• 5+ years in machine learning, data science, AI, or related field
• Experience in developer relations, technical writing, public speaking or contributions to open-source communities
• Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with Spark MLlib, MLflow, or similar ML tooling
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities; ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences
• Bachelor's degree in CS, ML, or related field; advanced degree preferred

• Experience building ML solutions on Databricks
• Knowledge of ML workflows, MLOps, and data engineering concepts
