Specialist Solutions Architect - GenAI (High-Tech & Manufacturing)

Databricks is seeking a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect - GenAI (High-Tech & Manufacturing) to join our Field Engineering team. In this customer-facing role, you will architect GenAI solutions, partner with customers and Databricks engineers, and help drive data-driven digital transformations for high-tech and manufacturing industries.

You will translate complex customer requirements into scalable Databricks-based architectures, provide technical leadership during engagements, and drive successful proofs-of-concept and pilots.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GenAI data/AI architectures on the Databricks platform for enterprise customers in the high-tech and manufacturing sectors.
• Collaborate with Field Engineering, Sales, and customer teams to define technical requirements and success criteria.
• Lead hands-on workshops, proofs-of-concept, and pilots to demonstrate value and drive adoption.
• Provide technical guidance on best practices for security, governance, scalability, and performance.
• Support customers through deployment, optimization, and migration to Databricks.
• Contribute to customer success and develop referenceable case studies and success stories.

Requirements

• Experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar enterprise-architecture role.
• Strong knowledge of GenAI/AI/ML concepts and data platforms.
• Proficiency with the Databricks platform, Apache Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with data engineering, governance, security, and scalability considerations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
