Solutions Architect, Retail

Overview

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect for Retail to help enterprise retailers adopt the Databricks Lakehouse Platform and accelerate data-driven decision making. This remote role supports North American customers. You will partner with customers, Solutions Engineers, and their teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs, lead technical workshops, and guide successful cloud deployments on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Ideal candidates have experience in data analytics, data modeling, SQL, Python, Spark, and a strong understanding of retail analytics, merchandising, or supply chain use cases. This role requires collaboration, clear communication, and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities

• Design and communicate technical solutions for retail customers using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform
• Collaborate with customers, Solutions Engineers, and partners to implement scalable data analytics architectures
• Lead technical workshops and manage cloud deployments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Translate business requirements into practical data and analytics designs

Qualifications

• Experience with data analytics and retail use cases
• Strong knowledge of Spark, SQL, Python, and data modeling
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
