Solutions Architect - Oil, Gas, Energy

Job Summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect focused on the Oil, Gas, and Energy sectors to join our Field Engineering team. In this role, you will design and present Databricks-based data analytics and lakehouse solutions for enterprise customers in the energy industry, working closely with customers, sales, and engineering to deliver differentiated outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers in the oil, gas, and energy sectors to understand business needs and translate them into scalable Databricks-based architecture.
• Design and demonstrate data analytics, data engineering, and machine learning solutions using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
• Collaborate with sales engineers, customers, and product teams to craft technical solutions and validate ROI.
• Deliver technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and architecture roadmaps; advocate for best practices in data governance and security.
• Travel as needed to customer sites or events.

Requirements

• 5+ years of solutions architecture, pre-sales, or data engineering experience in data analytics or cloud platforms.
• Strong expertise with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
• Experience across cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple deals simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
