Solutions Architect

Overview

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to join its Field Engineering team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This role involves partnering with customers to design and implement scalable data analytics and data lakehouse solutions on the Databricks platform, translating business requirements into technical architectures, and guiding successful deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data analytics architectures on the Databricks platform tailored to customer needs
• Collaborate with customers, data engineers, and product teams to capture requirements and craft architecture diagrams
• Lead technical workshops, proof-of-concepts, and technical evaluations for prospective and existing customers
• Advise on best practices for data governance, security, performance optimization, and cloud architecture
• Support pre-sales activities by translating technical value into business outcomes
• Guide customers through migration strategies from legacy systems to Databricks

What we're looking for

• Strong experience in solution/enterprise architecture with a focus on data platforms and analytics
• Proficiency with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering concepts (Spark/Delta Lake, ETL/ELT, data warehousing)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience in architecting scalable data pipelines and data lakehouse solutions
