Role overview

The Senior Technical Solutions Engineer (Platform) will serve as a hands-on technical advisor for Databricks customers, helping them design, deploy, and optimize data and machine learning workloads on the Databricks platform. You will collaborate with customers, solutions engineers, and sales teams to translate business needs into scalable cloud data architectures.

Responsibilities

Partner with customers to understand use cases and translate them into scalable technical architectures on the Databricks platform.
Design and optimize Spark and Delta Lake workloads, data pipelines, and analytics workflows.
Provide guidance on performance tuning, security, reliability, and best practices.
Deliver technical enablement sessions, workshops, and proof-of-concepts (POCs).
Troubleshoot complex platform issues, support migrations/production deployments, and drive customer success.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to convey customer needs and improvements.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or cloud data architectures.
Deep expertise with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, SQL; proficiency in Python or Scala.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and the Databricks ecosystem.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

Experience with streaming data, ML workflows, data governance, or MLflow.
