Role overview
Databricks is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, Red Team to join our security team. In this role you will simulate adversaries, conduct red team exercises, and help strengthen the security of our data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute red team exercises and adversary emulation against Databricks environments.
- Develop attack simulations and testing campaigns to evaluate security controls.
- Collaborate with security engineering and blue teams to improve detection, response, and remediation.
- Identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in cloud-based data platforms across AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Document findings, risk assessments, and remediation guidance with clear metrics.
- Develop tooling to automate security testing and reporting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on security experience, with a focus on red team, penetration testing, or adversary emulation.
- Strong knowledge of attack frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK) and modern security testing methodologies.
- Experience with cloud security across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and common security tooling.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
