Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (Enterprise Greenfield/Hunter team) – Paris, France

Databricks is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to join the Enterprise Greenfield/Hunter team in Paris. You will partner with the Sales organization and enterprise customers to design, demonstrate, and architect scalable data and AI solutions using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. This role combines deep technical acumen with strong customer engagement to win complex, multi-cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery sessions, architect end-to-end data and analytics solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, and deliver compelling demonstrations and POCs.
Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineers, and Customer Success to define winning technical strategies for enterprise accounts.
Translate customer business goals into robust data architecture, security, governance, and operational plans.
Design data pipelines leveraging Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow; optimize performance and cost across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Respond to RFPs, respond to technical questions, and articulate ROI and value of Databricks to executives.
Provide field enablement, mentorship, and best-practice guidance to regional teams.
Travel as needed to engage with customers and field teams.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or data/analytics engineering roles.
Deep knowledge of cloud data platforms and big data technologies, including Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
Hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform and data architecture patterns.
Strong communication and storytelling skills; ability to present to both technical and executive audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Willingness to travel as required to support enterprise customers.
