Your Role
As a Pre-Sales Manager in Field Engineering, you will lead technical pre-sales activities for Databricks solutions, act as a trusted advisor to customers, and partner with sales to drive adoption of the Databricks platform. You will design solutions, run demonstrations, and help customers realize business value from data.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions and solution design for enterprise customers in India.
- Deliver architecture demonstrations, trials, and proofs of concept.
- Collaborate with field engineers, sales teams, and partners to craft compelling value propositions.
- Respond to technical questions, RFPs, and requirements analysis.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Databricks product capabilities such as Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark features.
- Travel as needed to customer sites or events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical sales.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms AWS, Azure, and GCP, with data engineering and analytics experience.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, SQL, and Python or Scala.
- Excellent presentation and customer-facing communication skills.
- Ability to translate customer needs into concrete technical requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
